Runberg Architecture Group is looking for an Architect I or II with five to eight years’ experience to serve as a Project Architect on mixed-use and multifamily projects. Responsibilities include:
• architectural design solutions for multifamily and mixed-use projects
• preparing presentation, design drawings and construction documents
• developing feasibility studies
• coordinating the work of the design team and consultants through all project phases
• effectively communicating with the client, consultants, and jurisdiction
This is a growth position; we are looking to develop a talented project architect into a successful project manager. Qualified candidates will have some experience taking on project management tasks but are not expected to have already managed a job independently. They will also have the ability to foster the development of architectural design, employ exceptional documentation and organizational skills, have an enthusiasm for supporting the team effort and sharing knowledge with others, and have strong communications skills. Intent to focus on multi-family and mixed-use projects is important but experience in the project type is not required.
Runberg Architecture Group is an award-winning, creative and collaborative studio environment that focuses on innovative mixed-use development including market rate, affordable, and student housing, and adaptive reuse across the western United States. The firm portfolio of work ranges from intimate structures to larger complex urban city blocks. We are committed to sustainable practice, social responsibility, and pride in our community. Qualified candidates will have an accredited degree in architecture (B Arch or M Arch), a minimum of 4 years’ experience, and either hold, or be working to obtain, professional architectural registration and LEED accreditation. We work in Revit; experience in the program is not required provided you have enthusiasm and aptitude to learn. Additionally, skills in other software programs (AutoCAD, SketchUp, InDesign and PhotoShop) are beneficial. Above all, a positive attitude and affinity for working in project teams is a must.
Benefits include: health insurance, fully subsidized commuter passes (ORCA cards), accrued vacation and sick time, 401(k) enrollment, profit sharing, and assistance with continuing education. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
