125th & Aurora

125th and Aurora is a two-phase affordable housing project located on an underutilized site in a walkable and transit rich area of north Seattle. Near existing grocery, retail, and other commercial services, the project will replace an unused motel, restaurant, and surface parking lot and benefits from a rapid bus line located along its primary frontage.

The first phase of the project will consist of 90 units of housing with supportive services for formerly house-less and low-income seniors. In addition to providing valuable wraparound services, the building will provide residents access to common amenities that include a community room and shared balconies with resident managed planter boxes. This building is pursuing Passive House Certification.

The second phase of the project will contain nearly 130 units of Work Force Housing, several of which will be sized for families, including three-bedroom units. This future phase will feature a commercial space at grade and supportive services for residents. When completed, the two phases combined will create a vibrant, mixed-age community in an underutilized corner of a rapidly developing neighborhood in north Seattle.
