Batik

Batik is a mixed-use project located in Seattle’s historic Yesler Terrace. Developed 80 years ago as the city’s first racially integrated, public subsidized housing, Yesler Terrace is undergoing a dramatic redevelopment. The program aims to preserve the neighborhood’s diversity and vibrancy while expanding access to housing for people of all income levels. Batik and its sister development, Cypress, are the first market-rate apartment buildings in the Yesler Terrace redesign. The seven-story Batik adds 2,400 sf of retail and 195 apartments, 39 of which are workforce housing.
